Journeys, Travel or Destinations

Good morning - I am finally back in the land of the living! What a fabulous week I had with my gorgeous boys.  We went on picnics to the beach and the Trough of Bowland, went to the park, barbequed and Harrison and I went to the cinema to see Monsters University.  I had a wonderful time and its so sad to see them go!  Luckily it won't be long before I see them again as Dave and I are going down in a couple of weeks to look after them whilst Mummy and Daddy go to Rome for a few days!

Today sees the start of a brand new challenge at Sweet Stampin' Challenge where I am the Guest Designer for August.  The theme for this challenge is Journeys, Travel or Destinations here is the card I made:

The image is a digi from Make It Crafty which I have coloured lightly with my Copics.  The papers are Prima En Francais.  The post card is a digi from Stamping Dragon which I distressed with Antique Linen DI and wrote a sentiment on with the pc.  The Paris stamp is a Hero Arts rubber stamp I have had ages.  Behind the image is Cheery Lynn Sophia's Heart Doily - not sure if you can see it.  The image has been cut and matted using Spellbinders.  The Eiffel Tower is a Dienamics die and has had the Frantage treatment.  Seam binding and charm are from my stash.  I must admit I really enjoyed making this, isn't it funny how some cards you enjoy making?? Here is another view:

The sponsor for this challenge is Crafty Ribbons and The Ribbon Girl is the monthly sponsor!  There is also a 1000 follower candy up for grabs, have a look at the challenge for all the details!

Anniversary Waltz

Good morning to you all from a very wet and rainy Blackpool this Monday morning.  Hope you all had a fabulous weekend whatever you did.  We had a fantastic time at my friend's party - what a shindig!  I have a picture to show you at the end of my post.

Today sees the start of a brand new challenge at Lexi's Creations and the theme this fortnight is Anniversary.  I decided to do a white on white card:

Always difficult to photo so I did it against a green background so it didn't merge in with the white background.  I have used Lexi's sentiment called Husband and Wife which you can get at Fairy Dust Crafts.  I embossed the back panel with a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder and used the following dies:

Spellbinders Love Locket and Rose Creations
Dienamics Mini Royal Roses and Rolled Daisy
Joycraft Corner
Marianne Creatables Flourish above and below sentiment
Cheery Lynn Anastasia Border and Exotic Butterfly Small 2
Tonic Flower Punch and Floral Leaf Punch

It does look a lot better IRL I find all white cards very difficult to photo with my limited photographic skills! Our Sponsor this week is none other than

Challenges I would like to enter:

Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
ABC - Monochrome
Crafty Boots - Die Cuts
Creative Creations - Monochromatic
Love to Scrap - Monochrome

Whilst I am here I need to tell you about a few things:

Crafty Sentiments have some new dies in store and a new look:

Maggie's party was brilliant we had such a fabulous time!  This is what greeted you when you went into the first marquee:

Its an ice luge her husband had done for her.  She is one of my annual trip to Las Vegas buddies so he had it done in the shape of the Las Vegas sign.  It is all ice and you pour champagne down the back and it flows down the channels at the side into your mouth!!

Have a fabulous day and thank you so much for popping round to see me! Take care xx

By The Seaside

Good morning to you all, I am scheduling this post as we stayed overnight at my daughter and her partner's house in Bolton following the party.  I may have a teensy headache today lol!

I was thrilled to be asked to be Guest DT for August for Sweet Stampin' Challenge so this is my first card for August.  Actually I have just realised now that this should have gone out yesterday as that is when the challenge started so I am a day late - sorry!

I would like to enter the following challenges:

(to be filled in later, hopefully)

Please pop over to Sweet Stampin' to see the DT beautiful creations for more inspiration and full details of the challenge - promise I won't be late next week!!
